winter and Applied Liquid / Liquid Applied Winter

This week was the first chronic scrapbooking in 2011 with the issuance of Art Art Vox Lanaudière. For this show, I had prepared a review on Liquid applied. As always, there is much more material than time to show it. I therefore propose to download the complete chronicle - with a technical background as a bonus.

This Week Was The First Television scrapbooking segment for 2011. I Had Prepared Demonstration is a liquid applied, as usual purpose, There Is Much More Than material this time to it. So I Suggest you Download the complete article , Which contains a bonus Liquid Applied technical background!

Here is the page shown on the show. It has some interesting techniques that I share here with you.

Here Is The On The Page I Presented segment. It Demonstrates techniques SEVERAL Interesting That I Want to Share with you here.

SUBSTANTIVE "Spritz" HOUSE / HOMEMADE SPRITZ BACKGROUND

The background is a plain white cardboard I sprayed "spritz" home. To create my ink spray, I used a Mini Mister (Ranger), in which I poured water to about half. I added a dropper full of Faded Jeans Distress Ink (Ranger) and powder Perfect Pearls (Ranger) - The end of a stick to coffee for each color - Forever in Blue, Turquoise Blue and Interference. Just shake well off, I never managed to plug a Mini Mister. Before spraying, I laid on my back the Glimmer Screens by Tattered flakes Angels.

The background is a plain white sheet of cardstock spritzed with a home made mist. To create my mist, I filled a Mini Mister (Ranger) halfway with water. I then added a full dropper of Faded Jeans Distress ink (Ranger) and some Ranger Perfect Pearls - the tip of a coffee stirring stick for each color - in Forever Blue, Interference Blue and Turquoise. Just shake very well, I have yet to see a blocked Mini Mister... Finally, before spraying, I placed the Snowflakes Glimmer Screens from Tattered Angels on the sheet as masks.

TECHNIQUE MASTERBOARD /  MASTERBOARD TECHNIQUE

As patterned paper, I used a paper of my creation. You can download the complete instructions here . I then used this paper as accents - the bands at the bottom of the page flakes aligned with the photo and the background against which I submitted my text.

As year focus and background paper to my journaling, i used my very own "masterboard" for Which You Can Also Download the complete instructions here .

PRINT ON THE VELLUM / PRINTING ON Vellum

I wrote my text on the computer and I printed on vellum, for transparency. Thus, the text remains readable on the background pattern while blurring somewhat it without making it disappear. To print on vellum (with ink jet printer), I do it as follows:

  • first time I print on plain paper
  • I place the piece of vellum over the text printed on vellum by securing with a small adhesive tape Scotch Magic Tape, "that is to say the white one, because it is removable.
  • I then replaced the paper in the printer and I print again.
  • I leave to stand for several minutes until it is dry - Vellum is nonporous, so the ink does not penetrate, but rather remains on the surface
  • It remains only to cut the vellum and attach it to the bottom - I used mini glue pellets I camouflaged by diamonds.
I printed my journaling is vellum, for transparency. This Way, The text IS legible, it aims doesn't mask the background completely. To print on vellum, here is what I do:
  • I print a first time on regular paper
  • I attach a piece of vellum over the printed text, using some «Magic Scotch Tape» - the one that is white i.e. removable
  • I place the paper back in the printer and print again, this time on the vellum
  • I let sit a few minutes to dry completely - vellum is not porous, so ink doesn't sink in it, rather it sits on top.
  • I trim the piece of vellum and attach it to the background, I Used Mini Glue Dots That I hid behind gems.
EDGE PHOTO / PHOTO BORDER

I used a round punch to cut three flakes on my background motif. Then, I used this round as a template, I cut half-circles on the edge of the picture - be careful cutting the right place when the camera is returned;).

i used a round punch to cut out snowflakes from my masterboard Three, And Then I Used Those circles as a template to cut out From the half-circle photo border - Be Careful On The cut to proper border oz The photo is Turned over;)

TITLE HYBRID / HYBRID TITLE

To create the second part of my title (like snow), I used a small simple technology transfer, as a kid: To download the illustrated instructions, follow this link .
To Create the second part of my title (like snow), I Used a simple little transfer technique That I Used to do as a child: rubbing. For the illustrated instructions are how to create this effect, follow this link .
